Walking in the Spirit in Colombia – A Matter of Life or Death
By Chadwick Martin Stendal
Walking in the Spirit in Colombia is a gripping, real‑life account of what it truly means to follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance—moment by moment, decision by decision—when your life depends on it. For more than five decades, missionary Chadwick Martin Stendal has served God in some of the most violent regions of Colombia, surrounded by guerrilla forces, paramilitary factions, and drug cartels. His survival has never been a matter of luck, but of learning to hear and obey the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Stendal shares how Galatians 5:16—“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh”—became the foundational principle that shaped his life and ministry. Through remarkable true stories, he shows how God directed him when to travel, when to stay, what to say in dangerous confrontations, and how to protect his family amid constant threats. More than forty rounds of automatic gunfire have been shot at him—yet God’s guidance has never failed.
This book offers practical, real‑world examples of learning to discern God’s voice through Scripture, circumstances, and the inner prompting of the Spirit. It encourages believers to seek God’s will in all things—from the smallest decisions to the most life‑altering moments.
An inspiring and faith‑strengthening testimony for anyone longing to walk more closely with the Lord.
