Love in the Spirit

Love in the Spirit by Ignacio Guevara

This book began from a Bible study that I was leading in a home. When I read Colossians 1:8, where it says, “Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit,” suddenly the question came to my mind “what is love in the Spirit?” The Holy Spirit brought to my mind several passages of the Word of God, which I mentioned with a surprising flow in the Lord, which blessed both the hearers and myself. Later, as I was preaching in a church in Medellin, Colombia, the answer to my question came like a flash: Love in the Spirit is the marriage union of the Holy Spirit with the human spirit, flowing in compassion for our fellow man.

Its meaning came so suddenly I had to stop the message, and along with the brethren, write down the precious lesson that the Lord was giving through me. The twelve chapters of this book contain the testimonies of Bible characters who demonstrated Love in the Spirit. For this reason, I encourage the readers, with prayer and an open mind, to read, study, meditate, assimilate, and practice that which God teaches us, so that we can flow with this love in the family, the church, work, and in society.
