Who is the “Ye” that is given this order. This “Ye” is the inner man. The old man is the “inner man” controlled by the flesh, the world and the devil. The “New Man” is the inner man controlled by Christ through the Holy Spirit.
Christ our redeemer came to free us from the slavery in which we found ourselves when we were controlled by Satan. Thru identifying in the death and resurrection of Christ by repentance and faith, we can come out of the kingdom of Satan and enter the kingdom of God’s beloved son. Colossians 1:13
