I have served the Lord for 58 years now. The Bible verse that has had the most effect on my life is Galatians 5:16.

Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

The Lord showed me over 40 years ago that walking under the guidance of the Holy Spirit meant that all our decisions, including the smallest ones should be initiated or at least approved by the Holy Spirit.

You will see how this works out in actual life by reading this book. By learning to hear God’s voice through the Spirit, circumstances, and the Scriptures, you can find out God’s will for your life. By following the Spirit, God has enabled our whole family to stay alive working in the most dangerous part of one of the most dangerous countries on earth. We are presently working in the ‘no-man’s land’ between the right-wing, paramilitary, left-wing guerrillas, and the drug mafia. Our lives are in constant danger. Over 40 rounds of automatic weapons fire has been shot at me. The Lord has directed us when to move, what to say when confronted, etc.

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. – Isaiah 30:21
